Rees Jones calls this the beginning of the "crescendo." Take a deep breath and absorb this vista. A 201-yard par 3 from the back tees, this hole has spoiler written all over it. The deceptively small green, sloping left to right, is difficult to hit, especially into a breeze. Hit for the center of the green regardless of the flag position. Take your three and move on. Bunkers short left are a good bail-out, but short of them is marsh. And don't go long. Over this green is the expanse that eventually hits land again on Kiawah Island. |
